National Register Nominations
Denali National Park & Preserve, AK
Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve, AK
Pacific Preservation contracted with the National Park Service’s Alaska Regional Office to co-author two National Register Nominations in collaboration with the park’s historian. The first was for the Lagoon Island Cabin in Glacier Bay - the park’s first administrative building that served as a ranger patrol cabin in the 1950s. The second was for the McKinley Park Hotel Power House, the last remaining building from Denali’s first and only hotel that was constructed in 1938 but later burned in 1972, never to be rebuilt.
